Awana pays German model Jonas Glöer a visit at his London home. His Germanic-cum-Jagger looks have instilled him as a key part of fashion’s visual lexicon for the last ten years. Not just there off looks alone, we sat down with the industry’s biggest sweetheart for a chat about life at home, as the first of our Awana at Home entries - focusing on the little things that make us all the same, but a bit different.

What time do you get up in the morning? 

Around 9 or 10 o’clock if I’m not working and don’t have anything planned.

Are you a morning person or a night owl? 

A night owl. Everything seems clearer and more exciting once the sun is down.

Do you prefer music at home or silence?

Music! Always!

What is your YouTube deepdive?

A talk or lecture about something that I’ve recently discovered. The last one I was obsessed with was called “De-Disneyfying the Fairy Tale Film” about the effect Disney has had on the modern development of the classic fairy tale and what morality it promotes.

Do you have any New Year’s resolutions?

Oh no, I gave that up a while ago.

Tea. Without anything.

What’s your signature dish to cook?

Either pasta carbonara or chicken provençal although my girlfriend makes them just as well

Favourite pasta shape?

Strozzapreti (that’s probably my favorite word for a pasta rather then my favorite pasta)
