Often revered as the mother of the forest due to the occasional tree having a swollen trunk, reminiscent of a pregnant belly, these trees are believed to house forest guardian spirits.

There is much to learn from these trees, one of the few species of megaflora to reach the emergent, the heavens of the rainforest towering above the canopy. It is easy to apply a survival of the fittest logic as to why these giant trees thrive the way they do, but the reality is different. They thrive through practicality, through helping, through productivity. Rather than elbowing out their competitors, they support them; and in turn the forest invests in them and their shared success - their coexistence.
